I'm Shayla, and I am the main photographer at Chronical Capture.
I've been doing photography for almost 5 years on and off and have finally decided to fully embrace this artform as a career.
I grew up in Southern California with my mother, father, and younger brother in the beachside town of Dana Point, and from the get-go, I have always loved creating art and playing pretend. This, of course, led to my very nerdy sensibilities. I didn't embrace them fully until my late 20s, but since then, I have never looked back. I enjoy Dungeons & Dragons, LARP, collecting, and costuming. LARP was my gateway into photography, and when I started, I instantly had a passion and a knack for the art form, and I continue to develop my skills to this day.
I now reside in sunny Orange County, CA, with my dog Mortimer. Message me and let's get started on our adventure together!

Fun Fact 1
I was born in Laguna Beach, right next to the actual ocean. Not on the beach but in a hospital, VERY close by.

I can say the ABCs backwards, and I'm a crackshot at karaoke!

Not only do I love photography, but I am also currently working on my first novel AND teaching myself to 3D model with Blender.
